One Bad Apple….?

Dec 28, 2017 | 3:18 PM

You’ve heard the expression there’s always one bad apple…well you decide.  The Apple Corporation is apologizing for secretly slowing down older iPhones.

They previously said it was necessary to avoid unexpected shutdowns related to battery fatigue.

Many customers, including calls to Beach Radio News, had interpreted the move as a way to ramp up demand for newer models.

So what is Apple doing about this…apparently they are prepared to cut the price of a battery replacement by $50 to $29.

Those who didn’t purchase the Apple Care maintenance plan had to fork out $79 for the new power pack.

The replacement plan begins in late January for anyone with an iPhone 6 or later that requires a new battery.

Just to keep customers up to speed on the strength of their batteries and to better understand it’s function…Apple will issue an update to its operating system early next year.
