Hiring Begins Soon At New Vegpro Plant

The company behind a 60 million dollar salad products operation in Coldstream, is getting closer to starting the process to hire its staff.

Jonathan Blais, Western Region Director for Vegpro International, says with about 200 people needed, they’ve been in touch with Community Futures North Okanagan and with Work BC.

“We’re going to be hosting some hiring fairs, and we’ll be part of the Nexus BC fair in Vernon in April. As soon as January hits, we’ll be posting some jobs on our website and through local media, to start the hiring process,” Blais tells Beach Radio News.

Blais says they’ve heard nothing but positive reaction to the project which will use 700 acres of land purchased from the Coldstream Ranch.
