Valley MLA’s Not United On Leadership Choice

Kelowna Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick has announced his support for Andrew Wilkinson as the next BC Liberal leader.

Letnick says he took his time to see what each leadership candidate had to offer, including their visions and platforms – and made his decision after discussions with members in his riding

“Andrew is brilliant – a strategic thinker, a compassionate listener, and a proven leader. His speech at the Kelowna debate about taking care of seniors gave me goose bumps,” says letnick

Letnick is the 13th sitting MLA to back Wilkinson – one of six candidates seeking the leadership.

Letnick’s fellow Liberal Kelowna MLA, Steve Thomson, announced his support for Todd Stone on Wednesday.

Shuswap MLA Grey Kyllo is supporting Stone, and Vernon Monashee Liberal Eric Foster is remaining neutral due to his role as the Liberal’s whip.
