Trial Date For Robbery, Pepper Spray Suspect

A trial date has been set for a man accused of robbing a Vernon restaurant.

The Subway on 27th Street was robbed by a man on the morning of Sept. 10th when a  staff member was pepper sprayed.

Police were able to identify a suspect and make an arrest soon after.

37 year old Andrew Robert Piggot is also accused of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

His trial will be held in provincial court June 18.
