Tougher To Find Rental Units — and More Expensive

Kelowna and Abbotsford-Mission have the lowest rental vacancy rates in the country.
Canada Mortgage and Housing says the rate in both cities is 0.2 percent, well below the national average of 3 percent.
Kelowna also has the highest rent increases in Canada over the last year at 8.6 percent.
Vernon’s vacancy rate is 1.5%, down from 1.9% in October 2016,while the average rent for a two bedroom apartment has increased $53, to $913 dollars.
