Hill Tackles Bike Ride in Mexico

Vernon’s Shanda Hill is into the 1,800 kilometre bike ride at the Deca Ultra Triathlon in Mexico.
Hill got some sleep after completing the 38 km swim Sunday night.
The final event is a 422 km run.
Competitors have two weeks to complete the race.
Her family reports Shanda is feeling great.

Vernon ultra athlete Shanda Hill is off to another grueling event.
Hill will take part in the Deca Ultra Triathlon in Leon Mexico starting Sunday.
It will feature a 38 km swim, a 1,800 km bike ride, and a 422 km run.
The participants will have two weeks to complete it.
The 35 year old Hill is coming off a strong showing in the Triple Anvil Race in Virginia which wrapped up Sunday.
That event featured a 12 km swim, 540 km bike ride and a 126 km run, which had to be done in 60 hours.
