Lake 2 Lake Ride for Rwanda!

Today your Kiss FM Events Crew was the Dutch’s Creek Campground for the kick off of the Lake 2 Lake Ride Rwanda! Ratio Coffee supplied donuts, coffee, and more for all of the riders and volunteers involved. Riders registration started around 8. Included in their registration they received 5 solo bars, a riders shirt, and water bottles. They were also collecting riders pledges at the registration table. Riders collected pledges trying to raise money for children in Rwanda to give them better education through The Wellspring Foundation for Education. The Lake 2 Lake organization set a goal to raise 85,000$ and they accomplished it. The running total is 88,574$, they are accepting donations until October 15th. You can donate online on their website, laketolake.org ! There is a prize for whoever raises the most pledges known as: The Wellspring Cup. The riders were sent off in three different heats in 15 minute intervals, starting with the more relaxed riders. They will bike a total of 220km in 2 days, staying at Eagle Bay Campground for the night. The Kiss Crew will be back at Dutch’s Campground tomorrow at 12 to welcome riders back with a barbecue.
