Donations sought for Lumby Days Silent Auction

Apr 9, 2026 | 6:01 AM

Organizers are looking for people interested in putting up goods or services for the Lumby Days Silent Auction.

The auction is organized by the JW Inglis Elementary Parent Advisory Committee, with all proceeds going to support the local school children.

“Past proceeds have been used toward projects such as multimedia screens for each classroom, a kitchen, field trips, swimming and ice skating lessons, playground equipment, new asphalt for the basketball court, many literacy programs, and much more,” the PAC said in a media release.

“This year, we are fundraising to help upgrade our gym equipment and accessories and support our school programs,” the statement read.

The organizers are searching for people and business owners to donate items or services to be auctioned off for the cause. They said the donations could be big or small, such as gift certificates, handmade items or artwork,  gift baskets, and time or services.

Parties interested in contributing to the Lumby Days Silent Action could contact the PAC at jwinglispac@gmail.com or at 250-306-9563.

Lumby Days will run June 12-14.
