Organizers are calling on Enderby residents to do their part to keep their community clean.

The 14th annual Community Clean-Up Challenge will go in the North Okanagan city from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 18.

Volunteers will meet at the City Hall Parking lot in the morning for coffee and snacks then go out to pick up trash and help keep the parks, streets and other community spaces clean and beautiful.

“This event captures the heart of what makes Enderby special,” Mayor Huck Galbraith stated.

“It’s not just about picking up litter. It’s about showing pride in where we live and setting an example for our kids. When we show up for each other and for our shared spaces, we create a deeper sense of community.”

Once finished, the volunteers will be provided with a free appreciation BBQ lunch, courtesy of the Enderby & District Lions Club.

People looking to get involved can meet at city hall ahead of the start time.

In addition to the Community Clean Up, the city will have a FireSmart booth set up Saturday to provide people with information on how to protect their properties from wildfires, and the Lion’s Club will have its annual Shredding Event by donation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
