Information session to educate public about future of sncəcmałqtn Agricultural Park
The group that cares for the local agricultural park will hold a public information session.
Friends of the sncəcmałqtn Agricultural Park (FoSNAP) oversee the care of the park, formerly known as BX Ranch, and have a number of plans for the site.
Those include implementing regenerative agriculture through permaculture and climate-aware farming; Indigenous heritage highlighting First Nations traditions, foods and practices; ecological restoration to protect wetlands and maintain local habitats; and educate people by establishing apprenticeship programs for families and students.
FoSNAP will hold an open event to educate people about the park and their plans at the Okanagan Regional Library from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. The event will also allow people who wish to volunteer with the group to get more information about the organization and how to join them.
