Community Event Partnership Grants

New program to help with event costs in Vernon

The City of Vernon has launched a new program to support local events.

The city will be accepting applications for its new Community Event Partnership Grants between April 1st and 30th, with the goal of supporting groups by helping offset fees and other costs associated with holding events at Vernon’s parks and recreation facilities.

Grants will be provided to eligible non-commercial applicants offering events focused on arts and culture, recreation and sport, social or community building, and fundraising and non-profit organization support.

“Events play a meaningful role in creating connection, celebrating our culture, and bringing our community to life,” Mayor Victor Cumming stated.

“We’re excited to open this first intake and support organizers in delivering memorable experiences for residents and visitors.”

Events that are accessible to the public at no cost will be prioritized through this program, for which the city has committed $75,000 annually to support.

Groups looking to put on events and wishing to access the funding to offset the costs will be able to apply online here.
