West Kelowna RCMP act on problem residence amid complaints

A handful of arrests have been made after West Kelowna RCMP executed a search warrant at a so-called “problem residence” on Applegreen Court.

The search was carried out on February 4 following repeated complaints from neighbours about criminal activity.

The two-month long investigation, led by the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit with support from frontline officers, the West Kelowna Drug Section, and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team, resulted in the seizure of more than 200 grams of suspected illegal drugs, drug trafficking equipment, ammunition, and weapons. Eight people were detained and one male was arrested on unrelated charges.

Cpl. Bryan Mulrooney said the operation demonstrates how police respond when criminal activity affects neighbourhood safety. “Removing drugs, weapons, and trafficking activity from this property makes a meaningful difference for the people who live nearby,” he said.
