Local workshops to help artists hone their creative skills

Jan 30, 2026 | 10:59 AM

People interested in expanding and enhancing their creative capabilities will have a chance to learn from some local artists.

The Caetani Centre will run its 2026 Crating Space Workshop Series from February to June.

The Caetani Centre said these workshops, which focus on different artistic disciplines, will be led by local artists.

The Writing for Wellbeing workshop, led by Hannah Calder, will focus on journaling and creative writing for emotional resilience, mindfulness, and self-discovery.

Tracing the Inner Myth: A Creative Journey with Sveva Caetani, will be run by artists Destanne Norris and see participants explore symbolism, narrative, and personal expression by drawing inspiration from Sveva Caetani’s art and life. The participants will then use that knowledge to create their own paintings, which may be selected to be exhibited at the Caetani Centre.

The Poetry for All workshop, led by Michelle Doege, will see participants read, write and share poems.

There will also be two theatre programs run by Amelia Sirianni, Youth Drama Class and Adult Drama Class. These workshops will teach participants to acting techniques, improvisation, character development, and collaboration. The youth class will also see participants create an original theatrical piece by the end of the sessions.

The deadline to sign up for any of these workshops is Feb, 14. More details about the workshops and when they run can be found at the Caetani Centre website.
