Police searching for suspect who stole, stripped a vehicle

RCMP are asking the public for assistance locating a suspect in the theft investigation.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP said a suspect allegedly used a pickup truck and dolly to tow a vehicle off a lot in the 4600-block of 27th Street in Vernon on Nov. 6, 2025.

The vehicle, a grey 2021 Hyundai Sante Fe, was later recovered and found to be completely stripped to the frame.

The suspect was captured on security cameras during the theft.

 “We’re releasing these photos to the public looking for any information that could help advance our investigation,” Constable Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, said.

 “If you recognize the person or the vehicle please give us a call.”

Anyone with knowledge about the suspect or the theft were asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file #2025-18734.
