In Loving Memory of Jack Davidson
Jack Davidson was born on April 25, 1939, and on September 28, 2025, at the age of 86, he left this world with a lifetime of memories, love, and laughter to his name. He leaves his wife, Pauline, of nearly 60 years, with whom he shared his life and together raised two sons, Stephen and Bradley.
They went on lots of outdoor adventures and camping trips over the years. He also enjoyed watching sports, and some of his favourite players were Larry Bird, Kenny Stabler, Bobby Orr and Tiger Woods. Jack was a loving son, grandpa, brother, and uncle, and he loved his family dearly.
After his time in the Navy, Jack built his career with BC Rail in Prince George. But his true passions were found outside of work—in the music that moved him, the waters that calmed him, and the people he loved. He was happiest with a fishing rod in hand at the lake, or tapping his foot to Rock and Roll, especially when the Beatles or Paul McCartney & Wings were playing.
Jack also had a gift for bringing joy to others with a smile that could light up a room, and his easy-going nature made everyone feel welcome. As a Shriner, he found his calling in clowning—entertaining children with his humour, kindness, and balloon animals. Many still remember the laughter he sparked and the moments of happiness he created. With Pauline, he also embraced the world of square dancing, travelling near and far, finding new places and friends along the way.
Jack was a man of faith, and for years, he would get up early in the morning to read his Bible. It was a time of day that he loved. In recent years, Jack’s health brought challenges, but even then, his smile and spirit never entirely left him. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace, free from struggle, and in a better place.
Those who knew Jack will remember him not just the things he did, but the kind of man he was. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his smile will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He left this world to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
A small private family Celebration of Life will take place with no funeral or public service.
