Applications open for local athletics scholarship

The Emily Dahl Foundation has opened the application process for its annual scholarships.

Through the 2025 Sky Volleyball Scholarship, a local student who has been part of the athletics program and has embodied “the leadership and compassionate characteristics demonstrated by Emily Dahl,” will be awarded $5,000 to be used for post-secondary education.

“We know that Emily’s legacy lives on through this incredible award and all the young people who will receive this award in the future,” Leanne Hammond from the Community Foundation North Okanagan, the organization that manages the fund, said.

“This is an exciting award of $5,000 which can go a long way towards making a student’s postsecondary dreams come true.”
