Your KISS FM Events Crew was out at the Vernon City Hall today for the Vernon stop of the Rogers Hometown Hockey tour. The energy today was fantastic, there are so many awesome booths, food vendors, and activities for anyone to take part in, no matter what age you are!
McDonald’s has a shootout tent where you can test the speed of your slapshot, as well as an outdoor floor hockey rink. Right next to that is the Hometown Hockey stage, where you can catch some awesome live music, the Shawn Lightfoot Band was playing today and they had the crowds really enjoying themselves! Another really cool area in the Hometown Hockey setup is the Rogers Fan Hub, which is a giant heated tent filled with video games, phone charging stations, a hot chocolate bar, and a Kids Play Zone! Outside you could also line up to meet NHL Alumni players and get autographs.
Tomorrow is going to be just as fun, and you could have the chance to meet Tara Slone, Ron MacLean, Kirk McLean, and Russ Coutrnall! There will be autograph signings at 1:00pm and 5:15pm at the Scotiabank tent and the designated Autograph tent. Make sure you stick around to watch the live pre-game show with Tara Slone and Ron MacLean at 4:00pm and the broadcast of the Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks at 4:30pm!
