Two members of the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP will not be charged in connection with a non-fatal use of force investigation.
The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. investigated the incident where an undisclosed individual suffered serious injuries during an arrest in the 2800 block of 28th Street in Vernon on June 30, 2021.
The B.C. Prosecution Service said Thursday that the evidence collected by the provincial police watchdog did not meet the charge assessment standards and that it was unlikely the case would result in a conviction, so no charges were approved.
