No-criminality in death of woman in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP have determined the death of a woman this past summer was not criminal in nature.
The Serious Crime Unit investigated the death after the body of a 28-year old woman was located in the lagoon portion of Waterfront Park on June 21, 2024.
“We now have the necessary evidence and reports to conclude this woman’s death as non-criminal,” Cpl. Michael Gauthier of the Kelowna RCMP, said.
“Our responsibility is to conduct a complete and thorough investigation, this takes time. Our condolences and thoughts remain with her family.”
