Donations supporting seniors, hospital expansion

Two local organizations running GivingTuesday campaigns

Two local groups will run fundraising campaigns as part of GivingTuesday this year.

GivingTuesday is a global movement to shine a spotlight on organizations and their fundraisers that benefit the general public.

In Vernon, NexusBC and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation (VJH Foundation) will run campaigns on December 3.

NexusBC Community Resource Centre will use the day to collect money to help support seniors in Vernon and the North Okanagan.

VJH Foundation will highlight its Light a Bulb campaign as part of GivingTuesday, which this year aims to raise funds for an Ultrasound Expansion project. That campaign has additional donors that will contribute up to $250,000 in matching funds.
