The flood resilience and road rehabilitation project across Vernon Creek is nearly complete.

A report to Vernon City Council said the 43rd Street crossing Street had been paved and the line painting was finished.

Landscaping and environmental rehabilitation work was still required as of Monday, Nov. 25, though the staff report stated once that work was completed the road would reopen to traffic.

The work began in June as part of the city’s flood mitigation plan.
