David Michael Rochford

It is with great sorrow, the family of David Michael Rochford “Papa” sadly announce his passing on November 4, 2024 in Vernon BC. Dave was born on September 22, 1953 in Nanaimo, BC to parents William and Barbara Rochford.
He had a passion for living life to the fullest, always the life of the party and happiest chasing sunsets on his Harley. He had a smile that would light up the room, and a mouth that would talk your ear off if you let him. Constantly cracking jokes and laughing at his own jokes. He had a very charming and charismatic personality. He never took things too serious until it came to his health and to live out as many years as he could and to be there for his family. We never knew when things were bad with him, as he would never show it. Dave fought a courageous fight for many years. With his stubbornness, love for his family and guidance from Dr.Waldron we were able to enjoy as many years as we did with him. He was a medical miracle and were continually told how his appearance didn’t match the Dr.’s notes.
Dave leaves behind his partner Deb of 31 years, daughters Tamara (predeceased) and Terran. Son in law Tor. Grandchildren Layla, Mykah, Mila and Ailey. Sister Christine (Tina). Nieces Adrienne, husband Sean and children Chloe, Ford and Junie. Ana, husband Ryan and children Zoey and Austin. Nephew Brendan (predeceased). He also leaves behind his best friend of many years Greg and a lifetime of friendships.
He left this world on his terms and his head held high. On behalf of Dave’s family, we want to sincerely thank Dr.Waldron and all the other Dr.’s and nurses who took such great care of him over the years and up until his last day.
He will be greatly missed, thank you for raising me as your own. You didn’t have to.
Love always, your family.
