Online service available for Vernon’s utility, tax and licensing billing

The City of Vernon is encouraging people use its online portal for financial billing.

With the ongoing Canada Post labour dispute, the city said residents and business owners may experience delays in receiving utility bills, property tax notices and business license renewals.

To ensure people receive their important bills in a timely manner, the City of Vernon encourages people sign up to the online portal, MyCity.

MyCity provides 24/7 access to important documents, as well as account balances, due dates, transaction history, quarterly water usage, and property assessments.

Registered residents and business owners can also sign up for email billing, with the voluntary Utilities Auto payments program available for people to authorize the city to automatically withdraw their utility account balance for city services, including water, sewer, garbage collection, and recycling.

Residents and business owners can register for the MyCity services online.
