Vernon mourning the loss of a well known businesswoman

Lynella Henke, owner of Teach and Learn in downtown Vernon, has passed away after a battle with cancer.

In a social media post, Vernon Teach and Learn Ltd. issued the following statement.

“We are heartbroken to announce that our sweet Lynella passed away early Sunday morning (Nov. 3).

“Although she has been sick for four months, this abrupt end was very unexpected, but we are encouraged to know that she is now at peace.”

She was recently honoured with Business Leader of the Year award at the Business Excellence Awards. That award was accepted on her behalf by her husband Trevor.
