Public transit users in the North Okanagan will see more frequent bus service in the future.

The Regional District of North Okanagan’s Board of Directors approved several expansion initiatives for the coming years.

Starting in September of 2025, there will be increased weekday service for Route 90 between UBCO and Vernon with three additional round trips per day.

In January of 2026, transit service on Route 60 between Vernon and Enderby and on Route 61 between Vernon and Lumby will be improved by having the weekday variants removed. Route 61 will also see one weekday round trip added, while the Saturday variants for Route 60 will be removed.

Longer term initiatives were also approved by the RDNO’s Board of Directors.

In September of 2026 there will be one weekday evening round trip added to both Routes 60 and 61.

The final approved expansion will take effect in September of 2027 and see an additional service to align with Transit Future Action Plan for Routes 60 and 61.

All the expanded transit services are subject to 2025 budget approval.
