Okanagan residents asked to fill in daily travel survey
Select households in Vernon, Kelowna, and other Okanagan communities will be asked to provide information on their daily commutes.
Randomly selected households in the Okanagan communities will receive invitations in the mail to participate in the 2024 Okanagan Travel Survey, starting Monday, Oct. 7.
Anyone who receives a letter was asked to fill out the survey before the closing deadline, to help direct infrastructure decision making in their community.
“The Canadian census collects some information on travel to work behaviours, however, it lacks information on all the other trips that residents take in their daily lives including school, personal appointments and errands,” Suzanne Therrien, Transportation Planner for the City of Kelowna, said.
