Kelowna wins municipal award for infrastructure planning and management
The City of Kelowna has earned an award for its asset management practices at the Union of B.C. Municipalities (UBCM) conference.
The city was presented the UBCM with a Community Excellence Award for its leadership in planning and managing its infrastructure.
“Kelowna’s leadership in strong asset management and our ability to accelerate infrastructure delivery received some well-deserved recognition at this year’s UBCM Excellence Awards,” Mayor Tom Dyas, said.
“By effectively managing taxation through a balanced approach, we continue to invest in preserving, maintaining, renewing and delivering new assets to respond to our community needs, now and into the future. These initiatives are leading the way provincially and this award is evident of that success.”
