Joint investments to support energy upgrades to H2O Adventure and Fitness Centre
A pool and recreation centre in Kelowna will be upgraded thanks to a joint federal, provincial and municipal investment.
Through the Green Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure program, the H2O Adventure and Fitness Centre in Kelowna will receive some energy efficient upgrades.
A total of over $3.3 million will go towards upgrading the facility’s heat recovery; heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; and lighting systems. The investment will also support the installation of 100 kW solar photovoltaic panels, and 10 Level 2 EV chargers.
Of the funding, the province will provide the largest contribution of $1,789,241. The municipal contribution will total $894,788, while the federal government will provide $671,007.
