Event to mark International Overdose Awareness Day planned for Vernon

People from the North Okanagan will recognize International Overdose Awareness Day in Vernon.

Interior Health said an event will be held at Civic Memorial Park to mark the day.

I-H stated that International Overdose Awareness Day is an annual campaign to bring people together to end overdose deaths and remember those who have lost their lives.

The theme for the 2024 campaign is “Together We Can,” which is meant to highlight the power of a community coming together.
