Vernon Pride Week kicks off with flag raising Monday

The City of Vernon will fly the LGBTQ2S+ flag to mark the start of Pride Week.

A ceremony will be held to raise the flag on the community flag pole outside Vernon City Hall at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12.

The flag raising kicks off a week of events and celebrations including a Two Spirit Trans Nonbinary Storytelling Night at the Caetani Centre Thursday, Pride in the Park at Polson Park Friday, and Pride Day and March at Civic Memorial Park Saturday.

The full schedule of Pride Week activities can be seen at the Vernon Pride website.
