Weapons complaint draws police to residence

There was a large police response to an incident on 27th Avenue in Vernon Tuesday night.

RCMP say officers responded to a weapons complaint at a residence around 8:45 p.m., and once on scene, a woman was arrested for assault with a weapon.

The woman is being held in custody pending a court appearance.

“The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” Cpl. Tania Finn, media relations officer, told Vernon Matters.
