After two decades with the City of Vernon, Patti Bridal is set to retire.

Bridal has served as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) since December of 2022, but has worked for the city since 2003.

During her tenure, Bridal worked in a number of roles, including deputy clerk, corporate officer, manager of corporate services, and deputy CAO.

The city stated Bridal “leaves a legacy of exemplary leadership, dedication and a profound commitment to the community,” adding her tireless work ethic has significantly contributed to the advancement and prosperity of Vernon.

“Patti Bridal’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the City of Vernon into what it is today,” Mayor Victor Cumming said.

“Her remarkable dedication, coupled with her exceptional sense of humour and genuine care for people have left an indelible mark on our community. We are immensely grateful for her 22 years of service and wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.”

Bridal’s last day in office will be December 6, 2024.

The city said the recruitment process for the new CAO will begin sometime in June.
