Transforming Excess into Opportunity for Local Schools
At the end of any project, there’s usually some material leftover. For local building company, Farrow Built, surplus lumber is a chance to give back to the community.
“Some of it is brand new. You know, so instead of returning it, any stuff that’s clean and usable, we take to whatever local high school is closest,” said founder Duncan Farrow. “They always love that, because it’s more stuff for the kids in the shop classes to work with.”
Earlier this month, the Farrow crew dropped off a donation to the woodworking shop at Pleasant Valley High School.
