Yvonne Anna Gray (nee Masterson) passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024 at the age of 98. She was born Oct 10, 1925 in Newcastle, New Brunswick and raised near the Miramichi River. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Bernard “Bud” Gray.

Yvonne met Bud in 1946 while they were working at the airport in Chatham, NB as WW2 was ending.  They were married in Winnipeg, MB on June 17, 1946 as they travelled by train across Canada to BC. Dad brought his new ‘Maritimer’ wife back to his home in Oyama, BC and they settled there, clearing land and planting orchards as they farmed and raised their family.

Yvonne is survived by her four children: Lesley (Dan), Nancy, Colin (Suzanne) and Brian; her five grandchildren: Jody, Corrie (Jay), Nathan (Trish), Shannon (Andy) and Kristin (Brian) and her eight great grandchildren: Colton, Jayda, Brennan, Damon, Nixon, Conor, Lincoln and Kohl.

Yvonne left us her love of cats, skating, the smell of fresh baked bread, love of night skies, music, dancing and sewing.  She lived a long and blessed life; enjoying good health until her death.
