North Okanagan murder trial set to start

The trial of a woman accused of a murder in the North Okanagan more than three years ago is scheduled to begin Monday (March 4).

Lynda Saundry is appearing in B.C. Supreme Court in Kelowna, where she is facing a first degree murder charge in the death of Barry Jones.

Jones’ body was found in a residence on Emery Louis Road near Round Lake, west of Armstrong, in July of 2020.

Police say Saundry, born in 1961, knew the suspect.
