May 25, 1935 – February 6, 2024

With great sadness we announce Art’s passing at his residence on February 6th, with family by his side.  He was predeceased by his son Doug, two brothers, a son-in-law, two sister-in-laws and an infant nephew.  Art is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years Jean, his son Don (Annette), and two daughters, Barb and Carole (Maurice).  Also by his daughter-in-law Judy, nine grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, his brother Gordon (Anne), Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.  (He was known as the “fun uncle”).

Art enjoyed his careers in the Insurance Industry, having founded three agencies….Squamish, Sicamous and Vernon.  He also enjoyed his time in the Lions Club, Men’s Club & Choir at Trinity United Church, curling, golf, lawn bowling, card games, RVing and camping.

The family extends gratitude and appreciation to the medical staff at V.J.H., 2nd floor, Community Care and Chartwell-Carrington.  In respect of Art’s wishes, he was cremated.  Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
