City of Vernon to outline details of 23 capital projects planned for 2024

The public can get details on the big capital projects planned for Vernon this year at an upcoming event.

The city will hold an open house at the Vernon Recreation Centre from 5 to 7 p.m.

“Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend the open house to learn about several community improvements at one time, and speak with project teams to review designs and ask questions,” a city news release stated.

There are 23 capital projects planned in 2024, totalling $29 million, for which $7.2 million will come from taxes.

The open house will also include updates on the Active Living Centre project.
