Traffic was slowed on the highway through Vernon Sunday morning after a two-vehicle crash.
RCMP responded to a collision at the intersection of 32nd Street (Highway 97) and 39th Avenue around 10:45 a.m. Jan. 21 where a Jeep Cherokee going north on 32nd Street collided with a Ford Taurus travelling east on 39th through the intersection.
The incident resulted in a third vehicle being damaged with only minor injuries reported.
“The investigation determined the driver of the Ford Taurus had disobeyed the red light and they were issued a violation ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act,” Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer, told Vernon Matters.
