It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Josef E. Groeli of Lumby, BC on December 20, 2023 at the age of 66. Josef was born in Basel, Switzerland to Erwin and Sophie Groeli. He moved to Canada in 1980, and in 1981 Josef met Gabriele and the two were married in 1982, the day after Josef’s 25^th birthday. 5 years later they were blessed with a baby girl, Candice. The family moved to B.C in 2005, and a few short years after Gabriele passed away (2008).

Josef is survived by his daughter, Candice and grandchildren, Connor, Damian and Kylee; his eldest sister Dora, twin sister Elizabeth and brother, Warner. Josef is predeceased by his wife, Gabriele, and his parents.

As per Josef’s wishes a Service will not be held at this time.
