First snow of season in Vernon, more expected this weekend
Vernon got a light dusting of snow overnight, which was just enough to make some side roads a bit slick on Friday morning.
It could be the start of a snowy weekend with Environment Canada forecasting more snow to start falling overnight, and continuing on Saturday and Sunday.
The weather agency is expecting 2 to 4 cms in the Vernon area Saturday, which will be the first significant snowfall of the season.
The City of Vernon said earlier this week it was prepared to respond to the snow.
