SilverStar delays alpine opening
SilverStar has had to delay the planned opening for its alpine season.
The resort had hoped to welcome skiers and boarders this Thursday, Nov. 30, but due to a lack of snow, that’s been pushed back to Friday, Dec. 8.
“While Mother Nature is usually reliable with our early season snow, she is taking her time in starting to give us the usual 700 cm of annual snow we receive. There is snow in the forecast for this weekend and know that we are working really hard to bring you an amazing 2023/24 winter season,” a news release from the resort stated.
The resort is open for Nordic and snowshoeing with over 15 km of upper Nordic trails and 14 km of snowshoe trails, and all of the restaurants in the village are open.
