Kal Lake water source to be turned off

Oct 20, 2023 | 4:35 PM

The Kalalamalka Lake water source will be turned off for three days starting Monday, Oct. 23 to allow for regular maintenance, and will return to normal on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

The Regional District of North Okanagan said during the shutdown period, all customers will be receiving water from the Duteau Creek source.

“Customers who are not normally on the Duteau Creek water source may notice that the water is
softer, and has a lower alkalinity and pH. This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums,” a RDNO news release stated.

Customers will be notified of any updates at www.rdno.ca/news (filter by water notices).
