November 14, 1923 – September 15, 2023

 

We regret to announce the death of Edna Moore on September 15, 2023 at the age of 99 and 10 months. Edna was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. She moved with her parents to Salmon Arm where she met and married her husband, George. They raised 7 children together. Edna was a resident of 100 Mile House for 26 years prior to retiring to Vernon in 1990. 

Edna was a homemaker (Care Aid) & restaurant cook. You always were invited to her home and you never went home hungry. She loved to travel, play bingo and she spent many weekends at the Chuckwagon racetrack with family.

Edna was predeceased by her husband George, her brother David and 3 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter and son-in-law Donovan Reese.

Edna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 7 children, Alice (Dan) McKeith, Alec (Darlene) Moore, Grace (Ray) Allan, Georgia Reese, Jean (Jacques) St-Pierre, Roy Moore, Ken (Sherrie) Moore, daughter-in-law Elaine Moore, 23 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 40 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Muriel Moore, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life for Edna will be held at the Halina Activity Centre, 3310 37^th Avenue, Vernon B.C, on Sunday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m. Her immediate family will be with her as she is laid to rest with her husband at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winfield, B.C on Friday, October 6.
