Council to confirm baseball-dog park fence plan for Marshall Fields
Vernon city council will be reaffirming the fence line planned for around the baseball diamonds and dog park at Marshall Fields.
At the regular council meeting June 12, council approved a fence line that follows the original plan, but then cuts down adjacent to the first base line of the west baseball field.
This plan was proposed as it left a large, fenced-off segment for ball players to warm up and for spectators to sit between the two diamonds, but also didn’t take too much away from the dog park.
As proposed at the June 12 council meeting, the fence at Marshall Fields would run from the parking lot along the orange line, then down the yellow line adjacent to the west diamond (image courtesy of the City of Vernon / yellow line added by Vernon Matters)
