The family of Tony Lee Kabatow mournfully announce the passing of their beloved father.
Born May 29th 1957 in Fort Nelson BC he grew up in a small log home with a close knit family.
Mother Marge and Father William (passed). Brother Stacy and sister Nikki (passed).
He has a remaining brother Billy in Alberta.
After a hard upbringing and adult life he found saving grace in Jesus Christ and became a firm believer in God.
After living and working as a commercial and residential painter in Edmonton, Alberta Tony met and married Colleen O’Hara. Together they built their faith and love and had four children that they cherished together.
Pristine, Jonathan, Sarah and Reuben.
In time Tony found his place of peace living in Vernon, BC.
Owning and embracing his country lifestyle he had a hillside home with three horses. Grasshopper, Gypsy Girl and Lady Cheyenne.
Memories were made on horseback in the mountains with his children and 11 grandchildren.
Time spent outside of this was spent at Ellison beach cliff jumping, golfing or watching classic tv shows from the Andy Griffith show to Walker Texas Ranger.
Holidays were spent enjoying his home made Mexican meal, going for ice cream or coffee and watching classic movies.
Over the years relationships grew strong on his steadfast faith, generosity, humour, compassion, love and memories were made to last life times.
After battling cancer his final days were filled with family visits and attentive care at Jubilee Hospital in Vernon BC.
The family would like to thank Deborah for being a best friend and caregiver to our dad over the time they spent together and are with her in the sorrow of his passing.
We pray to live a humble life, fervent in Spirit, full of the zeal of God, with strength and passion to express and hold true to our convictions just as he so confidently did, in his honour.
We will always love you, we will always miss you.
Rest now dad, grandfather, husband, brother & friend.
Until Jesus wakes you.
God bless you.
Romans 8:38-39.
