Albert Oscar Louis Gallon

We are sad to announce the passing of Albert (Bert) (Oscar Louis) Gallon on December 21, 2022. He died in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital – the same place he was born on May 3, 1928. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Barbara, his sister Noella and brothers Leslie and Glenn. He is survived by his two children Gisele (Pat) and Mark (Diane), three grandchildren Sean, Alicia and Alex as well as his sisters Rhea and Carol and brother Henry.
Bert grew up in Lumby and worked at the Lumby Timber Mill and the companies that replaced it for 42 years – retiring at age 60. He spent several years as an alderman for the Village of Lumby. He took up golf in the 1970’s and it became his favorite activity. After retirement they moved to Vernon and he spent his time golfing, travelling with Barb and gardening.
He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
A Memorial Tea will be held for Bert on May 5, 2023 at 2:00pm at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, Vernon B.C.
