Starbucks opens in Armstrong

The world’s largest coffeehouse chain has added another outlet in the North Okanagan.

A Starbucks opened in Armstrong at 3060 Smith Drive today (Dec. 1).

The store also has a drive-thru, and is generating some excitement on social media.

“Never would I have thought Armstrong would [be] getting a Starbucks… love!,” wrote one person on the Armstrong Community Information Group on Facebook.

“Beautiful store and so nice to have it in town for those of us who love our Starbucks! I figure it is a win for me and a win for Armstrong because now I can stay local for my coffee instead of driving to Vernon!!,” wrote another person.

The Seattle-based java giant has five outlets in Vernon, one each in Salmon Arm and Lake Country, and 16 in Kelowna and West Kelowna.
