Vernon & Kelowna break old weather records

The Okanagan is enjoying a fine fall, weather wise.
Vernon and Kelowna were among a number of communities that broke daily temperatures records over the weekend, with Vernon’s dating back 118 years.
Environment Canada said Vernon’s official temperature of 25.3 degrees Celcius on Sunday, Oct. 2 broke the city’s former record of 24.4 set in 1904.
Kelowna surpassed a record set in 1932, reaching 25.9 degrees on Sunday at the UBCO station. The old mark was 25.6.
