COVID-19 outbreak in Armstrong over

A COVID-19 outbreak at a long-term care home in Armstrong has ended.

Interior Health has removed the Pleasant Valley Manor from the current outbreak list.

The facility was added to the list Sept. 14, and the entire centre was reportedly affected.

IH confirmed with Vernon Matters the outbreak was declared over Monday, Oct. 3.

As of time of publication, the health authority had yet to say whether the outbreak resulted in any hospitalizations or deaths.

Pleasant Valley Manor has 81 permanent beds and one respite bed.

Outbreaks remain ongoing at Vernon’s Gateby Care Facility and Polson Extended Care unit.
