A CTV spokesman has confirmed with Vernon Matters that the episode will showcase Davison Orchards Country Village in Vernon.

The episode was filmed in May 2022 and takes place around Vernon and Kelowna.

However, further details on what challenges the teams faced while in the area or what other locations were highlighted in the episode could not be disclosed ahead of the broadcast in order to not spoil it for viewers.

The show is on hiatus this coming week.

The opportunity to work with The Amazing Race Canada and its production crew to showcase our community is a big win for Vernon,” said Torrie Silverthorn, manager of tourism with the City of Vernon. Vernon is known throughout BC and Alberta for its outdoor adventure experiences, so pitching unique locations to the show was a great fit for us.”

Silverthorn  said Tourism Vernon welcomed the opportunity to partner with The Amazing Race Canada, both from a marketing perspective as well as an economic benefit direct to the city.

“Earned media coverage for Vernon is an important piece to Tourism Vernons marketing strategy. Inviting and hosting media in Vernon to experience what our community has to offer provides an authentic source of travel information and inspiration for potential tourists,” said Silverthorn.

The Amazing Race Canada features ten teams visiting various communities, all competing for the grand prize of $250,000 at the finish line. The show is hosted by Olympic champion, Jon Montgomery.
